A Chemical or Process Engineer must be familiar with many subject areas, hence the number of categories above. A good Chemical Engineer is one who can draw upon and integrate various sources of knowledge to solve a process problem, design a new plant or invent a new process. Therefore, each subject category must not be regarded in isolation to the others.
